Highland – Stoner Hill Neighborhood of Shreveport LA

Just to the south of downtown Shreveport, the Highland, Stoner Hill neighborhood of central Shreveport, is bounded by Interstate 20 (I-20) to the northwest, Linwood Ave. to the west, the Red River to the northeast, Youree Dr. to the east, and Kings Hwy. to the south.

As a historic neighborhood, Highland - Stoner Hill is close to major highways, medical facilities, quality schools, and all the excitement of downtown Shreveport and the Riverfront shopping and entertainment district. Residents of this neighborhood are perfectly distanced for the incredible employment opportunities of downtown Shreveport and the bustling riverfront casinos. Additionally, residents can explore the extensive shopping, entertainment and dining at The Outlets at Louisiana Boardwalk just across the Red River or sample the department stores and boutiques St. Vincent’s Mall to the south.

This neighborhood also features excellent schools including Loyola College Preparatory School, St. John Berchman’s Catholic School, Barrett Elementary School, the Alexander Learning Center, and also, the Caddo Parish Magnet High School. Also important, the Centenary College of Louisiana rest in the south portion of this neighborhood. This small college with under 1000 enrolled students, Centenary College of Louisiana was founded in 1845 and offers approximately 153 bachelor's degrees and 42 master's degrees.
